LKQ Remanufacturing’s Operations Manager for 1882, Sterling Wagner, has been an adult mentor with the Allen ISD, Lowery Freshmen Center (LFC) Robotics team this year. They have been building robots to perform tasks autonomously, along with human play through wireless control. The students had 4 teams competing this year, with one team, “The Antagonists Team” placing high enough to award them a seat in the Semi-regional competition. They gave up the opportunity in order to join their classmates on the other LFC teams in the “Last Chance Competition”. This helped the school’s overall scores and demonstrated a strong united team.

The LFC Robotics Club is grateful to LKQ for a charitable donation last year which helped to continue the hunt for a State Championship.
