LKQ Proud To Serve – Pick Your Part Savannah’s Fight to Crush Cancer

Pick Your Part Savannah’s Fight to Crush Cancer.

Pick Your Part in Savannah, GA made a big impact on the community this past weekend by participating in the Savannah Ghost Pirates Hockey Fights Cancer Nights. On February 3rd and 4th, over 8,000 hockey fans were in attendance at the arena to support the fight against cancer and show their courage.

Pick Your Part was a proud sponsor of the event, and the players of the Savannah Ghost Pirates made it even more special by tagging up a van with spray paint and placing it in front of the arena. The fans were encouraged to use 10-pound sledgehammers to beat up the van, symbolizing their efforts to crush cancer. The passion and emotion of the cancer survivors and their families smashing the van with sledgehammers were amazing, and their stories and thanks to Pick Your Part for allowing them to vent in this way were truly moving.

It was a heartwarming sight to see the community come together to support such an important cause. The players of the Savannah Ghost Pirates, Memorial Health University Medical Center, and Pick Your Part all joined forces to inspire courage for those affected by cancer. The night was a huge success, and it was a great reminder of the power of community and the importance of coming together to support each other.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Jeff Rau, Louis Billard, Adam Swartout, Jeremie Benzinger, Tammy Burris, Melissa Billard, Ben Webster, Elizabeth Smith, and Jack Fife for their efforts towards the event. Their hard work and dedication made it possible to create such a memorable and impactful night for the community.

This event was a testament to the commitment of Pick Your Part to the communities it serves and its ongoing efforts to make a positive impact. The Pick Your Part Savannah Team is proud to have played a role in such a special event and is already looking forward to next year’s Hockey Fights Cancer Nights.
