On September 14, 2022, LKQ Midwest Region District 2 joined forces with the community in the Gerber Collision-sponsored “Wings of Mercy” golf tournament. Wings of Mercy provides financial assistance to patients who can’t travel commercially. Overall, the tournament raised $60,000 which will cover roughly 50 flights for families in medical need that cannot fly on commercial flights. All pilots involved donate their time and sometimes their aircraft with the money donated covering fuel expenses.

LKQ thanks the following for their participation in the event:

• Delivery Driver Richard Spence, who has day-to-day contact with the Gerber locations around Grand Rapids,
• Tim Rusche,  former Grand Rapids General Manager and Michigan aftermarket District Manager out of retirement,
• Brian Bartels, the current General Manager for salvage and aftermarket on the west side of the state, and
• Tim Marken, our inside sales rep for the west side Gerber locations.
