LKQ Proud To Serve – Eric St-Pierre

Director, Human Resources, LKQ Canada (Quebec)

Eric, and his wife, Nathalie, a Biologist for wildlife conservations, form a complementary and formidable team which starts with the passion they have for what they do each and every day. They bring this passion into the communities they serve.

For Eric, as someone in in HR, the idea of taking care of others is obvious.

For Nathalie, a Biologist, her passion is caring for species at risk. Nathalie leads her own genetic lab for the provincial government of Quebec. She focuses on conserving endangered species such as turtles, frogs, snakes, bats, falcons and so on.

While their careers are vastly different, they share one common denominator — being caretakers for those — whether people or wildlife — who are in need.

When COVID hit, the Quebec government enacted emergency measures. Eric and Nathalie stepped in, making meals for those in need, which they funded on their own. They got involved with a project called “Stocking the Fridge”, which is a non-profit food bank called “Le Book Humanitaire” in St-Jerome, Quebec. Eric and Nathalie then passed their love for community service to others, so they got their sons to assist them during the holiday season. Not only was this a great family experience, but they were able to increase their production output with 4 more hands in the kitchen. This allowed them to contribute to a second charity “Accueil Bonneau” in Montreal.
