Tire Recycling
LKQ Tire and Recycling facilities represent one more step in our effort to recycle each part of the salvage cars and trucks we receive.
We buy and sell used tires in addition to offering waste tire collections for:
- Cars
- Trucks of all sizes
- Off-road vehicles
- Agricultural and farm vehicles
All products are sold in trailer load or LTL (less than trailer load) quantities for domestic and international use.
Every year LKQ processes over 4,000,000 tires. We purchase and collect most of our used tires from tire dealers, auto recyclers, and government contracts. Tires are transported by our fleet to central locations where they are inspected for quality then sorted by size group and grade (life remaining) and added to our extensive inventory.
Tires that do not meet our standards are separated for material recycling or energy recovery.
