LKQ, DIAMOND STANDARD FORM COOPERATIVE EFFORT TO PRODUCE HIGHEST QUALITY PLATED PARTS WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY

Memphis, Tennessee and Chicago, Illinois, 6/18/2012 – Keystone Automotive Industries, Inc., an LKQ Company, and Diamond Standard Parts, LLC, have formed a strategic alliance on U.S. made front steel bumper stampings. The combination of bumper stamping in Ohio with plating in Minnesota and Oklahoma provides a pivotal supply chain solution to meet the expanded North American market demand for CAPA Certified and Diamond Standard front steel bumpers. These products carry the exclusive Keystone Platinum Plus limited lifetime warranty (for as long as the customer owns the vehicle), which exceeds many of the standard OEM warranties, and are available through Keystone’s AQRP program.

This unique program leverages the industry’s leading brand names, Diamond Standard and Platinum Plus, to address the need within the industry for these high quality parts. Packaging of the Diamond Standard, U.S. made, CAPA Certified bumpers that are plated by Keystone Automotive will combine the brands of both companies in an easily identifiable package displaying both “Platinum Plus” and “Diamond Standard” logos for easy identification.

Diamond Standard's commitment to the industry continues as its certified SKU count marches onward. To date, a total of 97 applications have been certified on both chrome and E-coat styles. Chrome bumpers are available plated by either Keystone Automotive or Reflexxion and are labeled and packaged as noted below:

OEM Spec E-coating and/or Powdercoating, where required, are available from Reflexxion. Please note labeling and packaging below:

Note: All Front Bumpers use the Diamond Standard Parts, LLC trademarked part number ending in DSC noting that the part is DS=Diamond Standard C=Certified by both NSF and CAPA, available through Full Line Stocking Distributors only.

“The cooperative manufacturing effort being done solely in America means more U.S. jobs at a time when they are badly needed. Insurers and collision centers alike expect and demand verifiable quality and correct part delivery on all parts and specifically structural parts. As a certified manufacturer, we are confident our structural parts are safe and reliable as proven by their CAPA Certification,” said Michael O’Neal, President of Diamond Standard.

“LKQ Corporation, the first certified participant in the NSF Distributor Certification Program, is pleased to announce this strategic alliance. As a forward step in our quality assurance evolution, this adds even another level of confidence in our quality products that we distribute,” said Terry Fortner, LKQ’s Vice President of Industry Relations and Market Development.
